Umpqua Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ:UMPQ), parent company of Umpqua Bank, has appointed Dudley Slater to its board of directors. Slater was named director of Umpqua's board for a one-year term at its Aug. 5 annual board meeting. Slater most recently served as the chief executive officer for Integra Telecom, a company he co-founded in 1996. Under Slater's leadership, Integra grew from nine employees and $1.5 million in revenue to become one of the nation's largest companies within the telecommunications sector and one of Oregon's largest businesses with more 2,000 employees and $600 million in revenue.
